The Director of People will lead a talented team of HR professionals and partner with leaders across the organization to assure best in class employee experience. Reporting to the VP of People & Talent you will be responsible for all things People from the field to HQ. \n- In this role, you will collaborate with leaders, employees, and members of People team, be a trusted advisor, build effective relationships, and provide solutions that enable business strategies, foster leadership success, and drive the employee experience
- To be successful in this role, you will be required to use your creativity, critical thinking skills, and be able to navigate through ambiguity in a hyper growth and ever-changing environment
- Build a strong consultative relationship with business leaders, and partner with them to plan and execute People programs and initiatives, including organizational design, employee engagement, succession planning, talent calibrations, team effectiveness, leadership development, and more. Work to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Elevate, innovate and execute [solidcore] onboarding and offboarding
- Act as a change leader, identifying opportunities and needs for change and leading the change management effort
- Support managers and employees by leveraging people programs, processes, and systems, educating on policies and best practices. Provide ongoing coaching and development feedback to managers and individual contributors
- Support, develop and elevate members of the existing People Team
- Prioritize DE&I efforts across the organization
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations in a consistent, empathetic, and legally sound manner
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies
- Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling
- Understand and guide the team to highly effective, timely execution of administrative tasks.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive People/HR experience, preferably within the retail, fitness, hospitality or food & beverage industries
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law requirements to ensure Solidcore remains compliant
- Previous management experience, ideally overseeing Generalists or HRBP/PBP roles
- A player/coach with the ability to both shape strategy and manage the day-to-day operations of a dynamic function
- Top-notch use of discretion, relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of elevating employee experience
- Ability to manage and balance multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Experience using a variety of HRIS and benefits platforms in addition to Google Suite,
- SHRM, SPHR or equivalent strongly preferred
