JOB TITLE: Lead Bartender
DIVISION: Food and Beverage
REPORTS TO: FOH Lead/ Village Dining Room Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/ Seasonal/Hourly
POSITION:
Solitude is seeking out a creative and passionate bartender to join our talented food and beverage team who is interested in working up in the charming and sublime Utah Cottonwood Canyon. The bartender’s responsibility is to execute excellent communication skills and to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. They will also act as an assistant to our Restaurant FOH Lead. Meaning they will manage the floor, check off side work, run reports and balance the bank, help with inventory, and any other tasks the FOH Lead needs help with throughout the week. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be professional, friendly, efficient, and outgoing
- Must keep a clean and organized environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Must have knowledge of or experience with bar equipment, and mixing drinks
- Must be able to work at a quick pace, multi-task, and quickly recall information
- Sips n Tips Certification
- Food Handlers Permit
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and serve customers food and drink orders using the InfoGenesis system
- Create and maintain a comfortable, friendly atmosphere
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized bar
- Maintain beer, wine, liquor, and food inventory
- Offer recommendations or suggestions
- Verify IDs of any customer that appears under the age of 35
- Log and track BERG numbers daily (including spillage, “misclicks”, etc.)
- Bar-track customer's bar tabs and the Berg system numbers daily
- Balance the bank at the end of each shift
- Assist guests with information about the resort and local area
- Build a good rapport with travelers, locals, and regular patrons
