What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Solomon Page?
We are working with an Essex County, NJ based Construction client on a new Controller opening. Our client is a growing and stable company that currently generates 30- 50M annually in revenue. The Controller will report to the General Manager of the business and will oversee a staff of 5- 6 people.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial aspects of our construction projects
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Perform cost analysis and control
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to support project success
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls, including managing the relationship with the external CPA firm.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years financial/ accounting leadership in the Construction industry
- BS in Accounting
- Prior Sage or Timberline experience
