In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements.   We are currently looking for a high energy, self-starter, experienced individual, with essential interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills.   Warehouse Specialist  Major Areas of ResponsibilityPerforms range of duties in the receipt, stow, kitting and issue of material.  Specific Responsibilities of the Job Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material as per DLA regulations. Examinations may be visual or require measuring devices and techniques. Possess basic knowledge of inspection/examination procedures for material.   Able to read specifications, drawings, prints, schematics and photographs. Load material on and off of skids, pallets, stands. Prepare labels as required. Prepare reports as required. Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties.Receive data from and input data and other automated systems in performance of duties.Secures loads, performs rigging, blocking and bracing as necessary. Operate MHE as assigned and hold appropriate license. Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.Make preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment. Perform all other duties as assigned.  Job RequirementsEnsures items being stowed or shipped meet requirements of MIL STD 129N.Uses anti-static devices.Receives daily work assignments from Lead position in immediate organizational element.  Shop environment with hazardous equipment, moving Material Handling Equipment, obstacles and high volume activity.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, have full dexterity, and correctable vision.Outside work in hot and cold or wet weather is often required.Work environment often has fumes or airborne particles.Noise level is loud.Protective devices are required to avoid injury. Education or Equivalent High school diploma or GED required.  May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of general experience for one year of high school.  Knowledge/Skills Requirement   Minimum six months general experience. Minimum of six months specific experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, QA, or related areas. Must have demonstrated ability to obtain license to use MHE. Must be able to use other automated distribution systems used at site.
