  • POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Vice President of Finance for Physician Practices, this position is responsible for the Physician group s compensation plan implementation, administration, analysis and communication as it relates to both Physician and Advanced Care Provider ACP roles within the organization. This position ensures that the program adheres to fair market value regulations and supports the organization s strategic objectives.
  • PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversees the administration of provider compensation plans, policies and procedures regarding pay administration guidelines, productivity calculations, salary grades and ranges, and other compensation related issues.
    • Coordinates compensation plan administration in an efficient manner and complies with all organizational policies.
    • Oversees all productivity plan report development and analysis.
    • Monitors provider compensation against compensation policy thresholds to ensure each provider is within current approvals and/or seeks additional approvals for overages.
    • Serves as a contact with HRIS and payroll to ensure the accuracy of compensation changes.
    • Works with Operational leaders and contacts across the organization as compensation contact on policies, programs, position creation and salary calculations/recommendations.
    • Delivers innovative approaches grounded in data to analyze compensation and provide guidance on developing compensation plans to attract, engage, and retain top talent while balancing our bottom line.
    • Leads compensation reviews for new and existing Physicians and ACP s.
    • Prepares materials for the Compensation Committee.
    • Manages all sources of market information, including compensation survey data (MGMA, AMGA, etc), geographic differentials, and trends in provider compensation.
    • Guides complex and unusual compensation situations with a data-driven approach.
    • Establishes a set of metrics to evaluate the overall effectiveness of our compensation programs.
    • Provides leadership, sets priorities, and provides guidance and feedback to the provider compensation team.
    • Ensures compensation programs are compliant with all relevant regulations.
    • Manages all contract templates for providers and works with legal counsel for any appropriate updates and/or changes.
    • Participates and provides guidance in financial analysis related to recruitment of new providers.
    • Oversees process for completion of all new contracts and renewals, including managing term dates for existing providers and ensuring appropriate processes are developed and followed to provide timely review and approval of new contracts and renewals.
    • Provides direction for all provider compensation inquiries.
    • Supports monthly close activities and ensures accuracy of all compensation accruals.
    • Supports the Medical Group Budget process as it relates to provider compensation.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation - Bachelor s Degree required. Master s Degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Experience Five (5) years of financial experience in healthcare industry desired; previous provider compensation experience a plus.
  • Knowledge - Software/Hardware: MS Excel, Word.
