Description/Job Summary

SBD is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to help us in our overall marketing efforts. The marketing specialist will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels. The work includes researching the market, analyzing trends to help define the organization's marketing strategy, and providing advice as to how to best reach the target market. The marketing specialist will also help with the coordination of events such as trade shows/conferences, and employee engagement events.

This individual will work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements, and tracks marketing programs such as email, social media, digital campaigns, and events;
• Collaborates with other internal teams (e.g. business development) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives;
• Analyzes and reports on the performance and efficiency of campaigns;
• Conducts market research and analyzes trends to identify new marketing opportunities;
• Develops and creates marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure brand guidelines are met;
• Writes, proofreads, and edits creative and technical content across different mediums;
• Works with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs;
  
• All other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field;
• 2-5 years of professional experience in Marketing and Communications;
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and content management systems (e.g. WordPress), graphic design tools (e.g. Illustrator/InDesign), email marketing (e.g. Constant Contact);
• Excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail;
• Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills;
• Ability to travel as necessary;
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired.
