We are looking for:
The Chemical Operator position plays an important role. The primary purpose of this position is to be a generator and handler of hazardous waste utilizing satellite containers—responsible for container labeling and marking, moving containers, and may collect samples to assist with characterization of waste.
We count on you for:
- Upholds quality standards to conform to ISO 9001 and EFfCI policies and procedures.
- Operate blend tanks and storage tanks.
- Perform all drumming operations, including unloading fiber and plastic drum trailers and palletizing.
- Operate all fork lifts and material moving equipment.
- General set up work.
- Janitorial duties as directed.
- Utilize appropriate PPE according to job task.
- General laborer work, including housekeeping activities.
- Perform required in-process lab analyses.

You will bring:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous chemical plant operating experience desired
- Good interpersonal skills
- Competent on or able to learn RCS system for production transactions
- Must understand the plant waste handling and shipping requirements (RCRA)
- Understanding of safe work practices, Process Safety Management, incident investigation techniques, permit to work systems, management of change and safety & environmental regulations.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with other site departments
- Able to facilitate efficient cooperation between departments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities
- Ability to assess, prioritize and resolve plant issue

- Competitive salary; hourly range of $29.00-$34.58/hourly, since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
