POSITION DESCRIPTION: The OEM Sales Specialist is a customer support and sales role, responsible for generating revenue through consultative and technical selling while providing best in class support and service. The position will require developing technical knowledge of power transmission products suited for the OEM customer. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and competitive team environment that is goal-oriented.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist customers in product selection, by providing technical product expertise and world-class service, and educates customers on product solutions and services on pricing and application advantages.
- Grow sales at select OEM accounts within the territory and develop new sales leads and opportunities/accounts while servicing existing accounts.
- Travel throughout the assigned local territory to call on customers and prospective customers
- Prepares accurate price quotes for customers, including estimates of related shipping charges and delivery dates.
- Accepts and enters customer purchase orders and creates corresponding sales orders, while advising them on future forecasting of product needs.
- Sources and schedules shipments of customer products with supplier-approved partners.
- Must be motivated, have strong organizational skills, and have the ability to successfully self-manage and directly/indirectly manage others with limited supervision to achieve outstanding results
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 Year Customer Service
- 3 Year Sales Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 Year Technical training or equivalent industry experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Products
