SOME (So Others Might Eat) is currently seeking (2) part-time Residential Assistants for Exodus/Maya Angelou House in West Virginia.
Position Description: The Residential Assistant will provide monitoring and oversight of residential/transitional housing facilities and residents.
Required: HS Degree/GED; 1-3 yrs experience in social services; experience providing services in addictions or mental health treatment
Required License/Certification: CPR/First Aid; AED; Food Handler's License; Crisis Intervention (Training); Driver's License
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesday, 3pm - 10pm; Sundays, 6:30am - 12:30pm (20 hours per week)

Program Operations/Expectations:
Perform room checks and hourly house walk-throughs
Ensure house chores are completed
Assist residents in preparing meals, as needed
Monitor resident compliance with rules and regulations
Provide documentation and maintain communication logs
Respond to crisis situations or medical emergencies and report to management and on-call staff
Monitor resident self-medication during shift
Provide supervision of the facility and residents during assigned shift; maintain safety and security of facility
Provide assistance to residents for daily living activities
Reports to: Program Manager
