The Coordinator of the Associate Degree Nursing Program is a faculty member of the Health Sciences division of the College. The primary role of the position is to coordinate the individual efforts of the nursing faculty in support of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. The Coordinator reports to the Dean of Health Sciences and will oversee a total of 5 programs at different SCC locations. This is a 12-month position.

• State Board of Nursing Annual Report
• Program Review
• Program Admissions and Advising
• Systematic Program Evaluation
• Advisory Committee
• Division & Coordinators Meetings
• Unit Planning and Resource Requests
• Clinical Scheduling
• Graduation Applications
• PeopleSoft Licensure/Certification results
• Registration/Scheduling Program Students
• Course schedules
• External and internal service, leadership activities, and professional development
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements as set forth by 201 KAR 20:310 are:

• Master’s or higher degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university;
• 5 years of nursing experience within the immediate past 10 years and demonstrated leadership experience;
• 2 years of full-time teaching experience at or above the academic level of the program of nursing; and
• An unencumbered current license, privilege, or temporary work permit to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
