The responsibility of this role is to perform manual and clerical duties that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. May also deliver a variety of materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Research discrepancies in inventory
- Make inventory quantity adjustments based on research
- Adjust orders and make inventory adjustments as needed
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near work site.
- Moves materials from storage or work sites to designated area per Sales Ticket.
- Packages merchandise for shipment by common carrier.
- Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Fabricates and installs racks and shelving as required.
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
- Keeps records of storeroom inventory.
- Participates in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
- Will be back up driver and deliver items if needed.
- Be courteous in all contact with company customers.
- Assist in keeping all work areas clean.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Class B License required.
- Knowledge of safety practices.
- Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects.
- Skill in operating forklift or other materials handling equipment.
- Skill in operating large vehicles in tight and congested areas.
- Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Customer focused and team oriented.
- Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
