Job Description Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Restaurant Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. As a Restaurant Server, you will take orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain a clean and organized dining area. Your warm and professional demeanor will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant. Job Description Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Present menus and provide detailed information about the dishes and beverages. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, making note of any special requests or dietary restrictions. Input orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system and ensure they are transmitted to the kitchen staff promptly. Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any issues or requests. Clear tables and reset them for the next guests, maintaining a clean and tidy dining area. Assist in maintaining proper stock levels of dining supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed. Support the maintenance of the buffet area ensuring it remains stocked and clea, Handle guest payments, process credit card transactions, and return change accurately. Collaborate with kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure smooth service flow. Follow restaurant policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and alcohol service. Upsell menu items, special promotions, and desserts to increase revenue. Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes and service standards. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Handle customer complaints and inquiries with patience and professionalism, seeking assistance from management when necessary. Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and ensure guests' safety. Perform other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or supervisor. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience as a server or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not required. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail. - Knowledge of food and beverage menus and the ability to make recommendations. - Basic math skills for handling payments and making change. - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. - Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. - TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or similar alcohol service certification is a plus. **Physical Requirements:** - Must be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages. - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. - Ability to bend, reach, and stoop as needed.
