The Sonnenalp is looking for a Full-Time seasonal position. This job requires weekends and holidays with a desired start date of 12/01/2022. Housing available.
Wage: $16.00, plus $25 per Airport drive and tips
Primary Purpose of Position
To drive guests to and from their destinations, often up to 5 hours at a time, in variable weather and road conditions. Converse with guests and promote all areas of the hotel and golf course to the guest. Assist guests with baggage during arrival and departure; park and retrieve parked vehicles from the garage; and, to extend the highest level of personalized service to all guests and patrons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport guests in various vehicles to and from their destinations, often up to 5 hours at a time, in variable weather and road conditions.
- Converse with guests and promote all areas of the hotel and golf course to the guest.
- Respond to guest requests while exhibiting a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
- Controls traffic at the front of the hotel and garage.
- Assist with bellman duties as needed.
- Greets guests as they arrive and introduces them to the hotel.
- Assists guests with questions and directions. Accompanying the guest rather than pointing is preferred.
- Orients guests to the room’s and hotel’s amenities
- Reports unsafe conditions to the manager on duty.
- Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of bell carts.
- Maintains accurate key control using sign-in book for all keys and radios.
- Maintains accurate key control for all guest vehicles.
- Required to transport guests to various locations.
- Maintains cleanliness, fuel, and general condition of hotel vehicles.
- Assists with storage and shipping.
- Assists Front Desk and Concierge with day to day operations.
- Adherence to LHW guidelines for guest arrival and departure.
- Work effectively in a team with co-workers.
Education/Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a bellman in a luxury hotel preferred.
Special Skills/Equipment
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
- Able to operate all manner of automobiles.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to think on your feet.
- Organization skills, a personable demeanor, and politeness.
- High level of attention to safety.
Essential Physical Requirements
- This is a physically demanding job requiring top physical fitness
- Lifting loads up to 65 lbs.
- Walking and often running to retrieve vehicles
- Pushing loads up to 200 lbs.
- Bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing often.
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Attentiveness, sensory perception, and reaction times necessary to operate a vehicle.
