While reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Manager will provide hands-on support for the implementation and ongoing utilization of the Quality Management system. These include corrective actions, supplier quality management, customer complaints, change control, audit processes, standard procedures, test methods, and process controls.
What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for providing leadership to the plant in maintaining and improving quality systems per division and corporate standards.
Management of change control, data collection schemes, test methods and equipment, standard instructions, audits, manuals, and other routine quality systems areas.
Generate scorecards and reports for all aspects of plant quality.
Conducts advance statistical analysis and process capabilities for process and product quality.
Independently manage customer interactions as it relates to product or service quality, lead corrective actions, and ensure Sonoco is meeting all customer requirements.
Support customer, supplier, or internal quality audits and develop any required corrective actions.
Develop training materials and provide training on systems changes and implementations.
Provide support to business unit quality leaders in the application and implementation of quality systems.
Identify best demonstrated quality systems practices within supported division.
Assist with identifying trends and reports that add value for our leadership teams’ decision-making.
Ensure the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained, and updated.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
This position is located at our DeForest, Wisconsin facility in our Metal Packaging Department.
We’d love to hear from you if:
You have a four-year degree in engineering or sciences, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years’ experience as a Quality Supervisor or Manager in a manufacturing setting.
Statistical analysis proficiency: Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
Previous leadership experience and experience managing direct reports.
Knowledge of food safety certification process.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $95,280 to $107,190, plus annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.
An annual incentive is awarded to eligible employees upon attaining various business and individual goals as defined by the Company and the department leader. This annual incentive is discretionary, and the Company has sole discretion to determine the amount of the award.
