JOB DUTIES OF HOURLY SERVICE CENTER TEAM LEADER III
Responsible for the performance and results of all activities at the service center through the use of MANAGEMENT and SUPERVISORY skills
Safety –
- Ensure adequate training and proper compliance to Sonoco safety policies.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation (i.e. JSA’s, HECP’s, SDS’s, etc.)
Quality –
- Ensure that all products shipped from the service center meet customer’s stated specifications and that all orders are delivered on-time and in-full.
- Investigate any quality issues that arise and develop response, including Agile and CAR
Customer Service – Develop and maintain working relationship with key personnel at customer’s facility. Key Performance Indicators –
- Ability to ensure that all division KPIs are met and that variance from targets can be explained.
- Ability to develop site KPI’s that align with division goals
Administration
- Maintain HR records and documents as necessary.
- Administer weekly payroll procedures to include timekeeping and reconciliation.
- Input order entry information into MRP system.
- Input daily production information in MRP system.
- Maintain an accurate, daily perpetual inventory procedure to include monthly audits of the system to insure that all component values are correct.
- Lead all aspects of a monthly physical inventory and reconcile the perpetual to the physical.
- Ability to post monthly financial closing numbers on the corporate accounting template.
- Ability to understand service center financial statements and be able to explain variances from standard or budget.
- Ability to hire and maintain adequate staffing level of direct and indirect hourly employees to ensure required work is accomplished within required time frame.
Operations
- Lead and properly train all service center employees in all aspects of safety, quality, and operations.
- Ability to maintain a direct reporting relationship with other team leads
- Plan daily and weekly schedules of all operational activities based on customer demands.
- Supervise all daily assembly or other operational processes to meet production schedule.
- Ability to identify and manage productivity opportunities.
- Plan and schedule all deliveries to customers and all outbound freight activities.
- Plan and order component materials from manufacturing plants to ensure optimal balance of service (fulfillment to customer), cost (mfg and shipping efficiencies), and cash (inventory carrying costs).
- Ability to manage inventory using the MRP Report and other information supplied by division; and, coordinate with Account Management to prevent “dead” inventory and minimize slow moving inventory.
- Ability to manage service center assets and overhead costs to maximum advantage for the company.
