Porter/ Busser

The Porter position at Sonoma Pizza Company is fast paced and reports directly to the General Manager. The right candidate should have the restaurant experience to work in an organized and timely manner. This position will cross between the front of the house and back of the house. Responsibilities will include bussing tables and table maintenance, keeping service stations stocked, and helping in the dish room. Porters also help to set and maintain our garden at the beginning of service.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Porter, Dishwasher or Busser in a full-service restaurant. Experience in a restaurant is a must. Other qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to embrace our core values and take ownership of job responsibilities
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Experienced to make the right decision in a fast-paced service
• Proven capability to multitask various job duties
• Must be available to work weekends including Sundays
• Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs - or ask for support

Responsibilities:

A Porter’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Understand kitchen procedures related to dishwashing, bussing, and stocking
• Lot & Lobby tasks to keep the property clean and organized
• Replenish all dining room supplies as needed
• Bus tables and keep service areas clean and tidy
• Polish silverware, make roll ups and pizza boxes
• Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Uphold our core values when interacting with guests and co-workers
