Primarily maintaining the quality of eggs going into grading machines and breakers
Essential Job Duties
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Compare solid results to established specifications and control limits for release.
- Conduct and document visual inspections of finished products.
- Perform visual inspections of machinery and facility prior to production release for cleanliness, as well as verifying if with USDA FSIS and AMS
- Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, calibrations, solids, salt content,
- Maintain box counts and labels to fulfill orders
- Good work relationship with the USDA
- Fill out proper documentation for loading liquid tankers with proper seal numbers, temperatures, silo dates, etc.
- Performing quality checks on the eggs to maintain minimum checks throughout the production lines and the cooler
- Conducting titration and pH checks on the water to maintain conformance with USDA regulations and standards
- Fill in on breaks if needed
- Documenting/Recording Information — entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
- Getting Information — observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings — monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers,
Qualifications
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge basic computer skills
- Knowledge of supporting maintenance functions.
- Basic reasoning and thinking skills.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s), SSOP, HACCP, SQF and safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Working with moving conveyor belts
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
Working around loud equipment with the possibility of using hearing protection
