Job Description:
Provide general administrative support for clinical and professional staff and performs highly specialized clerical duties requiring a highly specialized knowledge of a particular function with responsibility for applying proper procedures and for carrying out the work with general direction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical support to the Acute Communicable Disease Control Program related to COVID-19 hospitalizations
- Track the completion and submission of all necessary data fields, including data entry into various DPH data platforms
- Maintain twice weekly communication with COVID-19 hospitalization team
- Comply with DPH training regarding confidential information related to personal health information
- Accept responsibility for other duties, as assigned
- Complies with DPH training regarding confidential information related to personal information; and
- Accepts responsibility for other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years of office clerical experience involving typing, one year of which must have been in a specialized or supervisory capacity
- Valid Class C California Driver’s License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in work requiring the use of the contents of medical records or reports and familiarity with medical terminology
