What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attorney - Land Use position at Sorting Tab?
We are currently looking for a highly qualified candidate to join our growing team. As a member of our land use group, you will work with developers, property owners, investors, public agencies, and nonprofits to navigate complex regulatory compliance and approval processes. Our ideal candidate will have a strong interest in land use issues and trends, and a passion for shaping the communities we serve.
The position requires three to five years of solid land use experience, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong legal research and analytical skills. You must be an effective and efficient problem solver with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs.
A California Bar membership in good standing is also required. Experience with land use, administrative law, zoning, affordable housing, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Subdivision Map Act, historic preservation laws and the California Coastal Act is a plus.
