Overview
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Audit Support Specialist in Charleston, SC. to support the Pay Systems for Global Compensation’s Office of American Pay Processing in the Pay Intake Division. The Audit Support Specialist will be responsible for disseminating all complete and correct Payroll Employee Action Requests received by the department to the team of Compensation Technicians and Analysts for payroll processing.
Responsibilities
- Indexing/scanning relevant financial documents for audit purposes. Examples include, but are not limited to: Supplemental Payments, Direct Deposit checks, Record of leave data, Check deposit/process, SF-50’s and W-2’s
- Protect PII in all documentation before providing documents to requestor
- Perform other project-based duties as required by DoS Management (client)
- Uses a knowledge of double entry bookkeeping in performing one or more of the following:
- Posting actions to journals; identifying subsidiary accounts affected and debit and credit entries to be made and assigning proper codes.
- Reviewing computer printouts against manually maintained journals; detecting and correcting erroneous postings and preparing documents to adjust accounting classifications and other data.
- Reviews lists of transactions rejected by an automated system, determining reasons for rejections, and preparing necessary correcting material.
- Providing help desk support via e-mail and telephone to the finance staff at posts.
- On routine assignments, employee selects and applies established procedures and techniques.
- Detailed instructions are provided for difficult or unusual assignments. Completed work and methods used are reviewed for technical accuracy.
- One year of relevant work experience required
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Secret-must have Interim Secret to start
- Education: Requires a High School Diploma
- Personnel shall possess superior multi-tasking, customer service, organizational, oral and written communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
- Requires intermediate experience with computer-based applications to include MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word).
- Requires knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing systems, filing and records management systems, and other office procedures and terminology.
