Responsibilities
- Meet and serve guests with focused hospitality. Lead new servers by example. Oversee and coordinate the activities of the serving staff in a restaurant or banquet setting
- Ensure that all food and beverages are served promptly and according to customer requests
- Train new servers on proper serving techniques, menu knowledge, and customer service skills
- Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and delivery
- Maintain accurate records of orders, payments, and customer preferences
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of servers
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order taking and serving
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry
Please note that previous experience in bartending or as a dietary aide is a plus.
