Stockroom Attendant

The Stock Room Attendant is to oversee the receiving, storing, cycle-counting, and kitting of production floor materials. This person performs incoming inspection and all inventory cycle counts. The Stock Room Attendant maintains stock records, implements and maintains a Kanban system and flags items to be ordered. Kitting is a major responsibility ensuring support for the SMT Operator and Assemblers with complete and accurate kits with on-time delivery.

Key Tasks

• Receive raw material and general stock room items into the stock room following established procedures
• Stock, label and organize all raw material
• Utilize Kanban cards for overstock, static stock, etc.
• Stock and maintain inventory for consumables, maintaining a Kanban system
• Maintain a left to right, incremental numbering system of all shelved parts with easy-to-read labels
• Adhere to a first-in first out system to prevent moisture contamination and other issues
• Monitor and maintain minimum stock count where applicable
• Work with Operations Manager to establish a cycle count schedule
• Perform routine stock room cycle counts to ensure accurate database stock levels
• Accurately assemble kits for SMT and Assembly production according to established procedures
• Restock material from returned kits whil updating any inventory counts and adjusting Kanban cards if required, including transcribing SMT provided data onto reels
• Clean and organize the stock room
• Maintain printers and label makers used for receiving
• Work with Operations Manager to create SOPs for stock room
• Maintain all material movements and counts in Misys mrp database

Education or Prior Experience

• 2-3 years experience in a within a warehouse environment with knowledge of commonly used database, concepts, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

• Great organizational skills
• Great memory (names, numbers, previous movement of material)
• Good time management, scheduling, and prioritization skills
• Proven positive interpersonal skills, must be a team player
• Good eyesight with or without corrective glasses
• Good office software skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
