What are the responsibilities and job description for the Proposal Writer/Manager position at SourceFly?
We are seeking a dynamic Proposal Writer/Manager who would work on IT proposals and perform the duties of a proposal writer, coordinator, pricing analyst, partner outreach, customer outreach and others for operations that are needed for the proposal.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
- Proven ability to write compliant and compelling proposal sections in response to Government solicitations in support of a variety of departments and agencies (Federal/Civilian and DoD/IC).
- Experience writing and tailoring content for complex non-technical proposal sections (e.g., management plans, quality plans, staffing) for a wide variety of IT solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with MS Office products such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc
Responsibilities include:
- Managing proposals, including all aspects of the proposal development, pre-proposal planning activities, kick-off meeting, theme development, value articulation, schedule management, proposal structure, compliance oversight, team instructions and guidance, review team coordination, and production oversight
- Developing/maintaining proposal management-related artifacts for each opportunity to include kick-off materials, master outline and compliance matrix, schedule, annotated outlines, writing instructions and templates, daily stand-up agenda, proposal team contact list, action items, and color team review briefings
- Leading, facilitating, and driving the discussion during solution strategy sessions with President, capture manager, and subject matter experts
- Capturing and helping to document customer hot buttons, win themes, our approach/solution, and features and benefits at the level required for a compelling proposal response
- Interviewing technical subject matter experts for the development of proposal content and artifacts Leading and participating in collaborative sessions to refine win strategy, competitive assessments, and customer pain points or hot buttons
- Writing and editing proposal narrative based on input from applicable sources and geared toward Federal Government clients and help design graphic concepts
- Tailoring available content for customer focus and compliance with project requirements
- Developing and distributing proposal-related documentation, including compliance matrices, outlines, schedules, writing guidance, and kick-off presentations
- Coordinating with contracts management and pricing staff on cost and contractual volumes to ensure appropriate schedules and inputs
- Reviewing proposal content for compliance and cohesiveness
- Leading partner calls and developing and distributing related data calls

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
