JOB SUMMARY
The Floor Tech II will ensure proper floor care while promoting and maintaining a high standard of service and cleanliness, while ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal and written communication
Basic computer skills
High School Diploma or GED
Must have six (6) months experience in professional floor care, including strip and waxing process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, drive, crawl, lift and carry in excess of 50 lbs; pull in excess of 80 lbs; push on wheels in excess of 300 lbs. Use of feet for repetitive movements.
Must be able to work in other environmental factors such as temperature, weather, noise, etc.
Additionally, this job requires the following: climbing a ladder, climbing stairs, walking on rough ground, distinguishing colors; exposures to: dust, fumes, hazardous material, body fluids, gases, working from heights, seeing (visual), listening; use of hands for: simple grasping, firm grasping, speed work, forearm rotation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / ASSIGNED TASKS
- Perform floor care procedures effectively, including dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, re-coating, striping and waxing
- Demonstrates proper use of wet floor signs, barricades, and/or caution tape
- Uses appropriate chemicals and floor pads
- Closely follows established policies and procedures
- Applies wax to floor neatly, exercising care not to splash on baseboards or walls
- Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Demonstrates proper use of corded-electric floor burnisher, auto-scrubber, battery burnisher to maintain floors
- Follow standards and procedures for safe chemical preparation, use, and storage
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used
- Demonstrates proper care of equipment
- Complete all scheduled tasks in a timely manner
- Demonstrate actions that provide a positive experience for the resident as well as promoting positive teamwork with co-workers
- Perform other job duties and tasks as assigned
