Production Supervisor

Provides leadership, direction & oversight for operations involving the production and packaging of finished goods. Fosters collaborative, high functioning, efficient and effective teams through training, motivation, and relationship building.

Essential Functions

• Oversee food safety program, quality standards, and legality of products manufactured in the facility
• Executes the daily production schedule to meet customer orders and ensures food safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Establishes a weekly employee schedule and coordinates the work of production associates to achieve plant goals/metrics. 
• Nurtures and encourages the professional growth of direct reports through training and development programs.
• Aligns activities with Company Core Values.
• In conjunction with the Production Manager, oversees employment related transactions among production associates.
• Utilizes performance measurement systems to provide feedback to direct reports in areas of employee safety, food safety, quality, cost and productivity.
• Responsible to ensure Production associates participate in mandatory training program(s) requirements.
• Operates within the Production labor budget.  Reports daily on direct labor, production efficiencies, safety and quality.
• Participates in pre-operation audits and ensures deficiencies noted during the audit are addressed. 
• Preserves the integrity of the Food Safety and Quality system through the enforcement of the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Policies.  Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality deficiencies.
• Maintains safe working conditions and ensures his team is fully engaged in the safety initiatives at the Site.
• Performs safety observation audits and leads safety risk assessments with his teams.
• Maintains departmental compliance with all regulatory requirements including FDA, EPA, OSHA and HACCP.
• Oversee food safety program, quality standards, and legality of products manufactured in the facility.
• Works with Human Resources regarding staffing, personnel and performance issues.
• Holds employees accountable for attendance, job expectations, GMPs, productivity metrics, and SOP compliance
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

• Two or more years of progressive manufacturing experience as a production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food.
• Great analytical skills and ability to understand complex manufacturing systems.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP/MRP systems
• Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
