The College of Nursing at South Dakota State University is seeking a full-time Instructor position. This is a 12-month, full-time, benefit-eligible position. This position is supervised by the Assistant Director of Academic and Clinical Placements. The work location will be based at either our Brookings or Sioux Falls site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Faculty members plan, implement, and evaluate assigned courses either as an individual assignment or as a member of a teaching team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sponsorship is not available; candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing upon application, and a Master’s degree in Nursing completed by start date.
- Licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing, or eligible for licensure as evidenced by current licensure in another state.
- Two years of relevant clinical practice experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences as evidenced in application materials.
- Evidence of effective written communication skills.
- Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Formal teaching experience in nursing;
- Evidence of professional service.
