Position Summary *While headquartered in Atlantic City, NJ, this role will require flexibility to travel between South Jersey offices as needed. The IT Support Specialist Senior sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks and components related to end user computing. The person in this role maintains desktop systems, applications, security, and network configurations, as well as troubleshoots performance issues. They will also be responsible for configuring and deploying end user workstations and hardware, executing upgrades, supporting the implementation of new applications and equipment, and supporting and maintaining cellular mobile devices and conference room technology. They are critical to providing technical support and guidance to our SJI users. Essential Functions: Maintains the Desktop Support ticket queue to address issues from customers and meet SLAs Administrate Active Directory to maintain user passwords, including new hires, terminations, and contractor management Supports, installs, and configures desktop hardware, software, and applications. Conducts regular onsite visits to all SJI/SJG sites for maintenance, support, and inventory checks. Provides hands on technical end user support including executive level. Supports of all mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, Toughbooks); works with the Helpdesk to keep training and documentation current. Partners with the mobile field workforce that uses Toughbooks, iPads, and VDI. Executes and assists with projects according to approved budgets and schedules. Maintains Asset Management software (WASP). Documents procedures for IT technologies to ensure proper configuration. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills: Excellent customer engagement Knowledge of Service Now ticketing platform and the use of Active Directory and SCCM. Proficient in imaging and maintenance of computers. Experience in the configuration and support of mobile devices (iPad, Smartphones). Knowledge of field support equipment such as Toughbooks, gateways and modems. Knowledge of Conference Room technology such as Solstice, Skype and conference hardware and software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, Office 365 and Windows 10; familiarity with Asset Management software Excellent at documenting technical procedures for knowledge management. Required Background: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience in IT technical support role, including executive level support, or; Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant IT technical support role, including executive level support. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Valid Driver’s license Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and install hardware workstations.
