Job Title: Courier
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every other week
Location: Voorhees, NJ
Reports to: Billing Manager
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY – The overall purpose and objective of this position is to transport films, medical records, office supplies, etc. to and from all South Jersey Radiology facilities as needed; as well as stops at other businesses, facilities, etc, as business needs dictate
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITILIES
- Transport various items between all South Jersey Radiology sites and Virtua hospitals
- Make daily runs to the post office or as needed
- Daily trips to the bank
- Maintain routine scheduled maintenance of van as well as make management aware of any safety concerns/issues of vehicle (i.e. tire wear, etc.).
- Keep van clean and free of trash for other drivers
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
- Assist in mailroom or Billing Department as needed
- Other errands as requested by management
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid, current New Jersey driver’s license
Training and Experience:
- No previous experience is required
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Extensive knowledge of Camden and Gloucester county roadways
- Observes NJ traffic rules/laws
- Knowledge of SJRA office locations
- Ability to operate SJRA vehicle
- Ability to travel from office to office on a daily basis
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, radiologists and referring physicians’ office staff as required.
Physical Demands of the Position – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive, sit, stand and/or walk 80-85% of shift. Job requires constant sitting, bending, reaching, lifting, squatting, pushing and pulling. Move, carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds. Use stairs and/or elevator in offices when required.
