Southampton Masonry is a family-owned masonry and tile business that has been servicing customers in the Hamptons for over 40 years.
Southampton Masonry is seeking a full-time bookkeeper to manage its internal bookkeeping/accounting function. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in accounting and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivables/Payables – record sales invoices, input vendor invoices, check issuances, file maintenance, prepare and process monthly account billing, send invoices to clients, assist with collections/account resolutions
- Bank reconciliation
- Payroll, 401k benefits
- Provide reports and all necessary information to accountant or other required entities for annual tax returns
- Perform other special projects, accounting, or administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree required
- 3 years experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft products (word, outlook, excel), Quickbooks
- Experience with AS400 preferable, but will train
- Experience in retail services, real estate or construction accounting preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail and deadline oriented
