We are searching for an Interpreter I - Language provide coverage on-site/on-call for Interpreter Services as requested. Provide accurate consecutive and/or simultaneous verbal interpretation and/or translations of written material. Develop a rhythm of interpretation to enhance the flow of communication between parties. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of encounters.
Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Day shift with evening, night, weekend, and holiday rotation 7:00am-3:30pm
Travel: May require driving on average 3 or more times per week
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in a related field is required.
- Training in medical terminology preferred.
- Interpersonal skills appropriate for handling sensitive patient and/or employee issues.
- Fluency in two (2) languages required, including English and the assigned language.
- One (1) year related experience required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID 19 and provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
