SENCA Head Start is looking to add to our team making a difference in the lives of children and families in southeast Nebraska. The following positions are available:
- Bus Driver/Teacher Aide Full Time – Table Rock Head Start – Must be able to get a CDL.
Positions open until filled.
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and random drug and alcohol testing. Part time positions are 20 hours per week and full time positions are 40 hours per week and run 9 months out of the year. SENCA offers a competitive benefit package, including educational assistance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
- License or Degree: Must possess or be willing to obtain and retain a valid Commercial Driver’s with school bus and passenger endorsement, as required to operate a school bus as determined by assignment.
- Must have or obtain within 60 days of being hired: First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Minimum Age: 21 years of age
- Experience: Providing transportation services or working with young children preferred.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently, and comprehend various forms of communication.
- Basic knowledge of computers to perform assigned or required tasks.
- Ability to complete daily documentation as outlined in position description.
- Ability to lift weights up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and parents.
- Can stoop, bend, crawl, and stand to perform vehicle inspections or assist children in boarding, exiting, or securement in seats.
- Ability to work with others using a team model and to follow basic teamwork principles.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to travel on agency business and attend out of area training meetings and/or conferences as required.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with staff, program participants, general public, and other state and federal agencies.
- Maintain ones’ self at all times so as not to bring discredit upon themselves or the agency.
- Must successfully complete any additional training or orientation for the position required by SENCA or by funding source/grantor standards of eligibility.
