POSITION CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE IN EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA! REMOTE!

I. MAJOR OBJECTIVES: Performs program outreach. Performs on-site inspections for projects. Serves as the local organization contact in their area.
Provides information to local partners and community organizations. Participates in the development of the program.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Program outreach
1. Performs outreach to community partners, farmers, growers, farmworker participants, employers, among others.
2. Regularly meets with and provides case management to program participants.
3. Helps develop program materials and information

B. Inspections
1. Performs on-site inspections of projects before and after completion.
2. Assists applicants and participants with grant application and agreement.
3. Assists participants with cost write-ups and detailed estimates
4. Determines program eligibility for participants and projects
5. Compiles all program forms to send to administrative office for approval and review
6. Takes pictures and uploads them to database for all projects

C. Case Management
1. Serves as an advocate for the participant
2. Refers applicant and/or participant to partner organizations for supporting and additional services
3. Provides ongoing communication with participants 4. Serves as the participants first and direct contact for the organization 5. Ensures program service delivery

D. Program Performance

1. Prepares program performance reports and project evaluations.
2. Monitors budget expenditures.
3. Represents organization on a local front
4. Communicates with team on program deliveries and outcomes

E. Technical Assistance

1. Provides technical assistance to partner organizations on farmworker housing programs and repairs/upgrades.

III. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.

A Bachelor’s Degree in business or housing related discipline is preferred or 5 years experience with service-based nonprofits. Knowledge of housing regulations and building codes is preferred. Proficiency in public presentations is required. Exceptional interpersonal communication. Bilingual in Spanish and
English is preferred.

Must possess and demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a non-judgemental approach style. Proficiency in the operation of computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe. Ability to use a laptop and printer/scanner/copier. Ability to work independently as well as a team member. Frequent travel is required. Some overnight travel.

IV. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certified Housing Counselor credential is preferred.

VI. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is primarily done in an office environment. Frequent sits for 6-8 hours per day. Long trips in cars. On-site visits to farms and farm labor housing.

IX. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment. Agricultural facilities and housing.
Dress in current policy.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
