The JDE E1 EDI Analyst position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely communication and delivery of information to and from our business partners. This position will work with the Applications Development team and business departments to define, design, implement and support business processes involving EDI transactions primarily within the JDE E1 ERP framework. The EDI Analyst will participate in the maintenance and governance of all EDI related projects and transactions within the company, providing guidance on how to leverage best in class processes and technology to meet SCT business needs.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maps EDI transaction sets in translation software
  • Coordinates with trading partners to maintain effective EDI relationships and provides support to internal departments
  • Coordinates and tests all EDI implementations with new EDI partners
  • Works with trading partners to resolve any operational issues
  • Creates and maintains trading partner profiles in translation software
  • Establishes and maintains mailboxes on VANs
  • Establishes connection through the Internet
  • Incorporates audit and control procedures within trading partner profiles, translation set maps and interface files
  • Establishes authentication and encryption if necessary
  • Communicates trading partner-specific technical issues to manager
  • Analyzes current implementation to make recommendations for improvements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 years EDI experience
  • 3 years of JD Edwards E1 9.1 or above
  • 3 years of working with SQL Server
  • Excellent JD Edwards product knowledge, particularly as it pertains to supporting EDI transactions with regards to:
    • JD Edwards Sales Order Processing knowledge
    • JD Edwards Transportation and Shipping
    • JD Edwards Inventory Processing
  • Solid knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Object Management Workbench
  • Experience working in Windows / Oracle environments
  • Understanding of Middleware integration tools
  • Experience with all types of EDI transactions, both inbound and outbound
  • Strong working knowledge of JDE EnterpriseOne a must
  • Excellent working knowledge of JDE Sales Order Processing, Packaging/Carton Detail, Shipping, Transportation, and Inventory Processing needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Plant and office environment; must be able to safely encounter an environment around moving machinery and equipment, loud noise, heat, fumes and paper dust.
