It will involve implementing multiple applications, including the replacement of our meter data management (MDM) and customer service systems (CSS) with a new, Oracle customer information system (CIS) called customer to meter (C2M). Additionally, it includes implementing an advanced analytics platform (AAP), customer experience (CX) and customer engagement platform (CEP).
The new platform, to be rolled out to Alabama Power, Georgia Power and Mississippi Power, will be implemented in phases over the next four years. Currently, we are building an ASCEND organization dedicated to helping the electric operating companies realize the vision for a modernized, efficient, digital customer experience to deeply engage with our customers and provide a more personalized experience. ASCEND will be one of the most comprehensive Customer Service and Marketing transformation initiatives in our company’s history.
Each Leader, Technology (CIS/MDM) position is responsible for the oversight, management, and delivery of critical activities within the Technology Workstream required for the program.

The location for this position is flexible between Atlanta, Birmingham, or Gulfport.
The successful candidate will remain an employee of the operating company while reporting to the CIS/MDM Project Team and may report to a SCS or operating company leader for delivery. There will be alignment for technology employees to the technology leaders and business employees to business leaders.
JOB SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for supporting and implementing key technology including the overall technology architecture for the new CIS/MDM solution and its various software and middleware integration components. These components include the new Customer Information (CIS) and Meter Data Management (MDM) systems, along with the advanced analytics platform, and the enhanced customer engagement tools for our customers and call center agents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is desirable or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
Overall 5 years of experience in implementing/supporting for Oracle Utilities (C2M, CC&B, MDM, etc) or other Oracle solutions desired.

Strong product knowledge of Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (C2M, CC&B, MDM) and/or other Oracle applications/platforms including design, development, configuration, and enhancements.

Strong product knowledge of Oracle WebLogic 12c, installing, configuring, troubleshooting.

Hands on experience in Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) desired

Hands on experience in C2M, CC&B, and MDM and/or other Oracle solutions in the last 3 years desired.

Comprehensive knowledge of information technology with an extensive understanding of application development technologies and methodologies.

Good understanding of Oracle MDM and CC&B Data Models.

Experience with integrating with Oracle Cloud desired. (OCI, CX, SOA)

Experience with configuring OEM and other monitoring tools for CC&B/MDM a plus.

Ability to capture the configurations required for the product and create a configuration document for the developers.

Ability to design the forms, workflows, and portlets, integration with the required systems

Ability to assist the Testing team with the functional areas to be tested.

Proven written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting.

The individual will need to be able to function in a fast-paced changing environment, manage changing priorities, be responsive, dependable, and discerning when supporting the business and coworkers.

Knowledge of DevOps (mycelium EDMS, Azure DevOps, GitHub), and API design management is desirable.

Knowledge of scripting in languages like Groovy or Java is desirable.

Experience in managing multiple small projects and initiatives.

Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Participate in Insider Threat Program for privileged users.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Middleware environment administration (Install, configure, migrate, tune, patch, administration & monitoring) on any middleware platform such as Oracle, WebLogic 12c, etc.

Setup configurations like SSO, JMS, SSL, and certificate key stores.

Build, install, configure, troubleshoot MDM, CC&B, C2M, etc.

Ensure the effective daily operation of the production / Middleware applications and provide administrative support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations
-
Effective collaboration with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing and release teams
-
Identify and quickly escalate potential issues with solution design, packaged software, client resources, or anything else that impacts the ability to deliver according to expectations.

Upgrades and Patching: Perform infrastructure upgrades. Apply routine Oracle patches to resolve issues, maintain supportability, and ensure security.

Migrations: Support developers in development-oriented activities. Migrate code between test, QA, and production environments. Help provide guidance for web services and API development.

Performance Tuning: Perform ongoing performance tuning and system resource optimization.

Monitoring and Maintenance: Setup and respond to standardized alerts, perform regular log analysis, monitor, and maintain systems to identify any issues. Maintain overall system health to maximize system uptime and ensure delivery of service level objectives.

Support: Work on customer support tickets and requests. Provide On-Call support, assist project, development, security, and operations teams as required.

Troubleshooting: Work with Development, DBA, Server, and Network Administrators to resolve application problems. Provide support for restoration of service and perform root cause analysis.

Documentation: Develop documentation for assigned projects including installation guides, troubleshooting guides, run books etc.

The Application Analyst will serve as the functional product owner within the middleware and integration solutions.

The role will be focused on maximizing the value of technology solutions by maintaining a quality environment, managing complex business processes, and partnering with external vendors and Information Technology to enhance/deploy new capabilities.
