What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman Operator position at Southern Excavation and Utilities?
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing construction projects and ensuring their successful completion. If you have a strong background in overseeing the construction of utility and dirt projects while operating heavy equipment, especially an excavator, we'd love to talk to you.
Duties:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards are met
- Utilize tools excavators, dozers, skid steer, loader, compactors, trucks, etc...
- Conduct project scheduling with PM and GC to meet deadlines
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members
- Manage a team of up to five people daily.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Supervisor in the dirt/utility/sitework industry
- Familiarity with commercial and civil jobsites
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- Ability to dig near, over, and under existing utilities to minimize damage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of utility construction processes
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
