Responsible for assessing patient needs, provide patient education and assisting physicians in the office setting.
Responsibilities
Safety
· Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.
Record Keeping
· Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.
Process Improvement
· Promotes a culture of process improvement by establishing unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals.
· Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams.
Role Specific Responsibilities
· Assess and plan patient care needs
· Assist physician in office setting
· Set up, stock and clean patient rooms as needed
· First Assist: Assist the operating surgeon during surgical procedures.
· First Assist: Collaborates with physicians in efficient use of OR suites.
Qualifications
· Associates Degree in Nursing
· Current Illinois Registered Nurse License
· BLS Certification
