Position Summary
The Field Helper is responsible for assisting the Field Manager to complete work within the assigned territory. They may visit job sites to communicate with subcontracted installation teams, do quality audits, take pictures of completed work, pick-up material, and any other support tasks to ensure the customer receives best in class turnkey services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Travel to multiple installation projects across assigned market; check on material deliveries, communicate with subcontractor crews, take pictures, delivery supplies, pickup materials
- Coordinates the punch and warranty technicians to ensure they have everything needed for successful work.
- May complete small repairs on roofing, siding, gutters or other residential exteriors to ensure quality job completion.
- Communicate with builder teams, customers, and homeowners as needed.
- Any other work in support of the assigned Field Manager/territory.
- Adheres to all general building and Company safety codes.
- Follows all processes and procedures established by the company.
- Works collaboratively with field team as needed.
- Commits to ongoing education and training to stay current on ever-changing industry demands.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in all related areas desired particularly in siding (Hardie preferred) and gutter installation. Roofing experience a strong plus. General construction background may be considered depending on extent and type of experience.
- Must have previous experience using hand tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, and shop drawings for the task being done.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated, energetic, hardworking, reliable, and safety conscious.
- Reliable transportation.
- Current and valid driver's license with driving record that meets company policy.
- Possess or willing to obtain/maintain DOT medical certificate.
- Ability to work regular overtime every week.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work with both hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects of varying sizes and lengths. Use of fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
- Willingness to work outside in all types of climates and weather conditions.
- Ability to be active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, squat, and/or reach out.
- Ability to walk/balance self on varying slopes of roofs; ability to climb ladders and use walk boards without fear of heights.
- Ability to consistently lift up to 20 pounds, frequently 50 pounds, and occasionally 100 pounds to unload materials and tools from work trucks and unroll roofing.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Salary : $32,300 - $40,900
