Warehouse/Driver

Overview:

Essential duties of a Warehouse / Driver include loading and unloading trucks, preparing furniture for delivery, driving company vehicles, delivering orders to customers based on a predetermined schedule, prepare orders for 3PL drivers, managing paperwork from deliveries & shipments, updating records, and performing related duties as assigned.

Duties/Essential Functions: (include but are not limited to):

• Checking client orders and ensuring that you or the warehouse staff load the correct items into the truck before departure.
• Responsible for product movement in/out of warehouse including customer deliveries and pickups.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance
• Ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and showroom.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping requirements
• Replenish store inventory, assist in floor moves, prep furniture for delivery or store stock.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven work experience in a warehouse setting
• Valid state driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift, carry and move heavy items

Certificates and Licenses:

• Valid driver’s license

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Warehouse temperatures will fluctuate depending on outside temperature.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
