Position Summary: General Laborer
Ability to take direction from the crew lead and learn / retain knowledge is critical to a successful installation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge with reading blueprints to complete onsite project layout preferred
- Ability to read tape measure / level required
- Ability to learn and retain information is required
- Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
- Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes.
- Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment.
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.
- Take direction from crew leader
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate a forklift & aerial lift
- Ability to work safely while at elevated heights up to 50’
- Ability to use general construction tools
- Ability to work on your feet all day; including bending, lifting, pushing and pulling
- Reliable transportation is required
Work Relationship and Scope:
Reports directly to the Systems Director. Works closely with crew leader and project manager.
