Southwire Job Description
The Application Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for enhancing and maintaining various applications and platforms at Southwire. This role will focus on maintenance and administrative functions such as user management, support tickets, training, and designing solutions with user satisfaction a priority. This individual works closely with the business to identify and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals. This person should be able to work well with others and have a team-first attitude, perform various testing activities, along with following the established change management process.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and evaluate ideas from business process owners to improve or develop new or enhanced functionality for application and website needs.

Serve as primary administrator and manage multiple systems, methods and practices necessary to develop and deliver quality results.

Creates functional specifications to define the requirements for business approval and development work.

Provisions new users and administrator users access rights to applications/systems.

Works with other areas of the organization to drive continuous improvements in the development process within the ITS structure.

Assist with deployment, testing and documentation associated to applications and websites.

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information, needs, functional requirements and deliver the specifications as needed.

Trains users and supports training in the usage of applications.

Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and distinguish user desires from underlying true needs.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree.
-
3 years of application administration experience and product knowledge required.
-
Possess knowledge of development methodologies, web-based systems, workflows, data analytics and development cycle.

Background managing applications such as Salesforce, SharePoint, SAP CPQ, Celonis or web content management systems
-
Technical skills included but not limited to, HTML5, CSS4, JavaScript, Java, APEX/SOQL programming languages. Basic Python skills are a plus.

Microsoft Office proficiency, especially in MS Excel. Should be able to work within spreadsheets performing VLOOKUPs and creating Pivot Tables.

Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven business acumen, exceptional interpersonal capabilities and attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and willingness to accept new responsibilities as necessary.

Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, along with vendor partners.
