Job Summary/Objective:
Southwire- Youngsville, is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor responsible for managing production, providing leadership to the manufacturing team, and facilitating the production process to ensure the achievement of all manufacturing objectives. This person works with the Production Leads, other members of management, and employees in their facility to oversee the production floor, manage the human capital plan, drive operational excellence, and direct capacity management.
Essential Job Functions:

Manages daily operations to include delegation of work assignments
Drives team goals and focuses on SQDCI. Takes ownership and pride in the department
Troubleshooting production problems (i.e., equipment, processes)
Documents work performance and administer discipline
Staffing control – manages vacations, leaves, and job movements, to ensure adequate staffing levels
Participates in interviews
Ensures adherence to policies and procedures regarding non-conforming material
Assists with capacity planning and new product development work
Responsible for reducing cost and improving quality and on-time delivery
Interacts with cross-functional teams, provides coaching and feedback
Culture of Zero adherence to safety and quality
Drives process improvement and 5S lean manufacturing principles
Supports organizational changes positively through action and words
Drives activities to increase employee morale and team spirit
Identifies and corrects problems

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and 3 to 5 years of experience in a production control/planning environment preferred
Basic computer knowledge, and experience using an ERP system are desirable
