AMD’s client platform engineering team is looking for a skilled program management analyst to work in a support role on development and testing of our next generation mobile and desktop systems. This position involves working closely with the program managers, a build services team and associated engineering teams. You will be responsible for assisting the program manager in the definition, planning and management of the silicon, test motherboards and platform hardware. The position requires coordination across a cross-functional, global team of hardware and software engineers.
The Person:
Will have great attention to detail and can effectively communicate across functional teams. Capable of handling multiple projects and priorities, able to dynamically adjust to the requirements of the day.
This position requires an individual who can work independently with many teams. It will require strong written and verbal communication skills, usage of collaboration tools, and organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support program in collecting hardware demand, planning, delivery, and tracking
- Create new program silicon, board and build configurations in AMD build and inventory tracking tools
- Process hardware migrations, approve orders and prioritize hardware allocations
- Communicate to global teams for silicon and hardware delivery commitments and plan changes
- Monitor long-lead part issues and report to project PM’s to assist in mitigation planning
- Communicate board build status to Platform Core Team meetings
- Analyze program orders against original program budgetary plans
- Provide shipping and receiving logistics assistance for critical deliveries
- Track and allocate silicon and board orders for internal and external recipients. Facilitate discussions to re-allocate material across teams as priorities change
- Work with Program Manager to define and track documentation requirements specific to program
- Validation coverage map setup, tracking, maintenance, and next generation improvements
- SharePoint and Teams site Development and Maintenance
REQUIRED SKILLS :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and advanced graphing
- Excellent organizational and analytical project skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under tight deadlines with changing business and technical conditions
- Experience on complex technical programs in a geographically distributed environment a plus.
- Familiarity with modern computer system designs, components
- Passion for identifying and implementing process improvements
- Background in supply chain and inventory management preferred
EDUCATION: BS in Program Management, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor hardware with configuration, inventory and logistics management preferred.

Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour
