What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roll Former position at Sovereign?
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Roll Former to join our team. The Roll Former will be responsible for operating roll forming machines to shape metal sheets into various profiles and forms.
**Duties**
- Must be able to set up and operate roll forming machines, i.e., change width, gauge, and cutoff dies.
- Must be able to set-up and adjust embosser
- Responsible for quality of material being produced.
- Responsible for performing all quality checks and the completion of all necessary forms, i.e., tags, quality, scrap, reject.
- Must be able to adjust and operate roll former safely and utilize all safety devices and be safety conscious for himself/herself and others.
- Must keep roll former operating to maximum efficiency and keep flow of material ahead of production lines.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards
- Responsible for cleanliness of work area and general housekeeping.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Assist in training of roll form assistant.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in operating roll forming machines at a minimum of 5 years IS A MUST
- Familiarity with sheet metal, stamping press, welding, lathe, and fabrication processes
- Be able to solve problems, which often starts with a good understanding of roll forming fundamentals.
- Experienced roll formers can ensure quality by understanding and accounting for case-by-case variables
- Be able to set up equipment, adjust processes, and changeover roll formers.
- Knowledge of CNC machines and plasma cutting is a plus
- Welding experience is a plus
- More in-depth training provided
- Ability to use equipment such as cranes and press brake machines effectively
