The Work You'll Do:

We are looking to immediately fill an open full-time Compliance Manager position.  In this position, you would be responsible for leading and managing a team of Compliance specialists responsible for completing regulatory requests from clients to provide them access to their desired markets. This position initially reports to the VP, Operations.

What are my responsibilities going to be, more specifically?

• Ensure state registration and quotation tasks are executed timely and accurately
• Engage with state regulatory agencies on standards and requirements (some travel required)
• Oversee control state depletion billing and inventory management
• Partner with IT department to ensure accurate and consistent deployment of processes & tools
• Set expectations & quality standards for team, providing coaching & recognition as appropriate
• Lead resolution of complex compliance matters allowing staff to focus on routine tasks
• Provide support and compliance expertise to cross-functional teams as required
• Advocate on our clients’ behalf when faced with adverse regulatory decisions
• Ensure company and department policies and processes are followed by team and clients
• Help develop and implement strategic initiatives to achieve departmental and company goals
• Drive process improvements within and across teams
• Lead training for team and department as necessary and appropriate
• Develop positive and supportive team culture

What We Need From You:

• Proven experience with federal and state beverage alcohol compliance (including control states)
• Expert in time management with a keen sense for how long things should take for self/team
• Demonstrated workload/project management capability that enables consistent task execution
• Capacity for quickly learning new systems, requirements, and processes
• Track record for delivering results & proactively overcoming obstacles
• Critical thinker who can balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives
• Bias to rolling-up sleeves to achieve needed outcomes
• Experience leading 2-4 person teams
• Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable engaging with senior leadership, clients, and third-parties on a regular basis
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• 2 years customer service experience
• 2 years directly managing teams
• Experience using ShipCompliant
• Experience using Asana
• Experience using state portals
• Experience in pricing, data entry, and inventory management
