The Work You'll Do:

The Vendor Operations Associate will function as an intermediary between Compliance Services vendors and internal stakeholders as well as service as the go-to resource for our Education Services teams. This individual is responsible for ensuring vendors meet the operational deadlines and standards set by Sovos, assisting with scheduled educational seminars, and creating and maintaining process workflows. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with strong organization and time management skills as well as a high level of accuracy. This candidate will also possess strong verbal and written communication skills due to the level of contact with internal and external stakeholders.

 

More specifically you will:

  • Maintain a positive and professional business relationship with vendors and internal staff
  • Act as a go-between for Compliance Services vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure vendor project and process timelines are met and carried out in conformance with Sovos policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other systems for reporting and project tracking as a means of quality assurance
  • Gather, sort, organize, and analyze data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure vendor service-level agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Review and format written documents; publish and print documentation as requested by internal and external parties
  • Schedule, oversee, and register attendees in educational webinars
  • Assist with technical questions from clients regarding course registration, CPE credit, etc.
  • Answer internal and external queries as needed
  • Ensure all role tasks and requirements are well-documented
  • Identify process improvements and offer suggestions to build internal efficiencies and reduce risk

 

What We Need From You

  • Basic computer software knowledge; strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities
  • Analytic mindset, with the ability to present information in a clear, creative, and persuasive manner
  • Due to federal contracts we have - you must be able to pass a background check and drug test upon hire
  • Due to client contractual obligations– the successful candidate will have to clear a background check and drug test
