Key Skills:
- Must have experience deploying services with AWS Cloud (EKS)
- Experience with deploying and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code using declarative languages such as Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible and other containerization and orchestration tools
- Experience with GitHub/GitLab account with open source contributions
- Certification in AWS and/or Kubernetes a bonus
Responsibilities
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a full design and development team, participating in scrum ceremonies, interacting with and supporting our customer.
- Deploy new CI/CD workflows and improve the scope of existing ones.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for containerization and DevSecOps and provide relevant advice to team members and customers.
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on leveraging Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) for container orchestration.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Docker, Terraform and Ansible, ensuring that all cloud resources are versioned, documented, and reproducible.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, optimize resource utilization, and implement best practices for cloud security and compliance.
- Create comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architectures, deployment processes, and operational procedures, ensuring clarity and consistency across the engineering team.
- Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for various applications.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Bachelor degree required
- Must be able to obtain up to a Secret security clearance
- Must have experience deploying services with AWS (EKS)
- Strong expertise of Containerization and Orchestration concepts
- Proven experience with AWS cloud services, including a deep understanding of EKS, EC2, S3, VPC, and other core AWS technologies.
- Proficiency in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, particularly Ansible and Terraform, with a strong emphasis on automation and configuration management.
- Experience with end-to-end automation of CI/CD containerized pipelines (Jenkin, Dockers or Bitbucket)
- Experience with Kubernetes and container-native workflows
- Experience with deploying containerized Apache / Tomcat and Java applications with build, test, and deploy stages including security checks during stages
- Hands-on experience administering Linux operating systems (configuring services, cron, bash scripting, hardening, etc.)
- Experience in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, including infrastructure designs, deployment strategies, and operational procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze complex systems, and solve challenging technical problems.
- Certification in AWS and/or Kubernetes a bonus
