**Position Overview:**
The Budtender plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to patients at our medical marijuana center. This position involves assisting patients with their product selections, providing educational support on medical marijuana, and ensuring a positive and informative experience in a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Customer Service:**
- Greet patients warmly and assess their needs through active listening and questioning.
- Provide personalized recommendations based on patients’ medical conditions, preferences, and goals.
- Offer detailed explanations of products, including strains, dosages, and consumption methods.
- Address any patient concerns or questions with professionalism and empathy.
2. **Product Knowledge:**
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various medical marijuana products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, and topicals.
- Understand the effects, benefits, and potential side effects of different products.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new product releases, and changes in regulations.
3. **Compliance and Safety:**
- Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding medical marijuana sales and distribution.
- Verify patient identification and medical marijuana cards to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of products.
4. **Inventory Management:**
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Help with receiving, organizing, and restocking products as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy of product information and pricing.
5. **Record-Keeping and Documentation:**
- Accurately process transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and transactions as required by state regulations.
- Document any patient feedback or concerns and report them to management.
6. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work collaboratively with other budtenders and staff to create a positive and efficient work environment.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities.
7. **Customer Experience Enhancement:**
- Ensure the dispensary environment is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving patient satisfaction and service quality.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent
- **Experience:** Previous experience in retail, customer service, or the medical marijuana industry (2 years preferred).
- **Skills:**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- **Knowledge:** Familiarity with medical marijuana products, strains, and their effects. Understanding of legal regulations and compliance.
