Job Summary/Company:
A government agency is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support their The Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance. This office professional will provide clerical support by overseeing filing and records to ensure compliance under the agency's guidelines. This is a fully in-person long-term contract opportunity supporting their DC and Prince George's County locations on a shift schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers and staff using professional, courteous interpersonal skills to provide optimum service
- Ensures proper care of sensitive documents, including following procedures for mailings, handling, transmitting and communicating these documents.
- Establishes, maintains and oversees filing system and records for the department to ensure compliance with Authority guidelines and best practices
- Prepares agendas and advisory memos to assure logistical support for assigned areas of responsibility, allowing comprehensive departmental planning.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- 1-3 years of experience involving clerical, operations or administrative activities.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate the business needs for evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
- Experience required with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook). PowerPoint,.
- Experience in a medical office experience is an extra plus!
