The Engineer will be responsible for developing data integration tasks in the data and analytics space. This position is 100% remote. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in implementing Snowflake Data Warehouse solutions
- Build data integration solutions between transaction systems and analytics platform
- Expand data integrations to combine data from internal/external sources
- Create security policies in Snowflake to manage fine-grained access control
- Develop tasks for a multitude of data patterns (e.g., real-time data integration, advanced analytics, machine learning, BI, and reporting)
- Lead PoC efforts to build foundational AI/ML services for predictive analytics
- Build data products through data enrichment and ML
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience building data-driven solutions
- 3 years of AWS experience; deep understanding of AWS Cloud environment (AWS architecture certification is desired)
- Expertise in real-time data movement, integration, and ETL using tools such as Attunity (Qlik), AWS Glue ETL, Talend, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with a data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, etc.)
- Experience building star schema
- Solid scripting experience in AWS using CloudFormation templates and Lambda functions
- Strong scripting experience on object-oriented programming (Python, Java)
- Hands on experience with cloud-based data warehouse platforms (Redshift, Snowflake)
- Strong understanding of data security (authorization, authentication, encryption, and network security)
- Demonstrated experience in data management with a strong understanding of process re/design
