Federal Financial Analyst

Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has teamed up with a government contractor, in search for a qualified Federal Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will have prior financial analysis experience, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. The Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating financial data and statements. Responsibilities:

• 
  Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes by performing analyses
• Support various finance functions across the organization including project control, financial analysis and forecasting
• Examine performance variances, understand key drivers effecting outcomes, and provide decision support to leadership
• Perform regular, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting; evaluate business models and costing processes
• Develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services
• Support other special projects and assignments and performing related duties, as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business required
• Active Secret Clearance required
• Must be local to DC/MD/Northern VA area
• US Citizenship
• 4 years of financial analysis and accounting experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and planning
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel required including Pivot Tables
• Solid financial modeling skills with the ability to support multiple complex projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels
